Give Now

At the Porter County Community Foundation, we provide a simple, powerful, and personal approach to philanthropy. Whether you want to give to an existing fund or establish your own fund, we’re here to help you make an impact in our community. Imagine a brighter future for the causes and organizations you care about most.

Ways to Give

Including a charitable bequest in your will is a simple way to make a lasting gift to your community. When you make this gift through PCCF, you can establish a special fund that benefits the community forever and becomes your personal legacy of giving. Click here for sample bequest language.

The most common way to make a charitable gift, cash donated into an endowment fund becomes a permanent resource for your favorite organization.

A charitable gift annuity allows you to arrange a generous gift to your community while providing yourself with an income source you can count on for the rest of your life.

A Charitable Remainder Trust allows you to receive income for the rest of your life knowing that whatever remains will benefit your community and the causes you care about.

By giving a gift of grain, you avoid including the sale of the grain in your farm income. Deducting the cost of growing the crops typically saves self-employment, federal, and state income taxes.

You can make a tax-free gift with an IRA and avoid taxes on transfers up to $100,000 from your IRA to PCCF. You can satisfy your required minimum annual distribution, reduce your taxable income, and give to your favorite charitable organizations.

Life insurance is a simple way for you to give a significant charitable gift with tax benefits you can enjoy during your lifetime.

Giving real estate through PCCF can help you turn your property into community good. With the help of the Foundation, you can use it to fulfill your charitable interests and receive tax benefits.

You can use your personal residence, vacation home, or farmland to provide a gift, while retaining the right to live in or use the property, for as long as you wish.

Gifting appreciated stock enables you to avoid capital gains tax while receiving a tax deduction based on the full market value.
