The Women's Fund at PCCF

The Women’s Fund of Porter County empowers, connects, and inspires women in our community by collectively supporting initiatives and organizations that are creating positive changes and bettering all our lives.

Since inception, the Women’s Fund has awarded 61 grants totaling nearly $900,000 to fund essential programs that support women and children throughout Porter County.

In 2024 the Women’s Fund of Porter County awarded $57,500 in grants to local organizations. Hilltop Neighborhood House and Jacob’s Ladder Pediatric Rehabilitation received $25,000 each to support high-impact programs. Parents as Teachers of Porter County, the MAAC Foundation, and The Caring Place were granted $2,500 for general support.

The 2025 Women’s Fund grant application will be available from May 27 to 12pm (noon) on June 30.

The Women’s Fund of Porter County welcomes nonprofit organizations serving Porter County to submit a grant request. Recipient organizations must be organized for tax exempt purposes as set forth in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986. Organizations that received a $25,000 Women’s Fund grant in 2024 are not eligible to apply this year. 

Please note that project areas NOT considered for funding include the following:

    • Projects or programs that do not address issues facing women and/or children;
    • Scholarship programs including daycare and program participation fees;
    • Annual appeals or membership contributions;
    • Event sponsorships;
    • Programs that are sectarian or religious in nature;
    • Political organizations, programs, or candidates;
    • Contributions to endowment campaigns;
    • Campaigns to reduce previously incurred debt;
    • Individuals;
    • Programs already completed and/or equipment already contracted for;
    • Travel for bands, sports teams and similar groups;
    • Camp scholarships or fees related to camp programs; or
    • Recurring professional development opportunities such as annual conferences.

Applications for funding must be submitted online by the deadline.

Grant Recipient Spotlight

Hilltop Neighborhood House

This grant awarded to Hilltop Neighborhood House from the Women’s Fund is helping to provide nutritious meals to those in need, promote food security, and foster a sense of community support and empowerment through Hilltop Mission Kitchen.

Dressed for School

Dressed for School aims to help local elementary students in need by providing them with quality clothing at no cost to them or their families, and the students get to select their own clothing in a shopping environment two times a year. The expansion of the program into middle schools was supported by the Women’s Fund.

Family Promise of Porter County

Family Promise of Porter County helps families experiencing homelessness and low-income families achieve independence with temporary shelter, personal growth development plans, and case management. The Women’s Fund supported helping connect women and children and families with sustainable housing opportunities.
