In partnership with our generous donors, the Porter County Community Foundation awards thousands of dollars annually to help students achieve their educational goals. If you’re interested in pursuing a post-secondary education, PCCF probably has a scholarship to help you realize your dream.

Lilly Endowment Inc. has awarded scholarships providing full tuition and fees to any college or university in the state of Indiana including $900 each year for books since 1998. The continuation of the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship program is decided on an annual basis.
Applications are available in high school guidance offices in late August each year.
Appreciating the importance of education, PCCF provides scholarships for Porter County students each year. These scholarships are awarded in conjunction with the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship application process as well as through the Porter County Career & Technical Education Center.

The BCC Joseph E. Costanza Law Scholarship is open to second or third-year law students intending to practice law in Northwest Indiana after graduation.

The Harriet Baxter Scholarship is open to residents of Porter County enrolled in Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

The Arthur O. Davis 4-H Horse & Pony Scholarship is open to students who have participated in the Horse & Pony Program for at least six years.
The Don Quijote Education Scholarship is open to Porter County high school students who are accepted to a language/cultural enrichment travel program in a Spanish-speaking country or an immersion program in the United States.
The Health Occupations Scholarship is open to students from Porter County who are in good standing at a college, university, or technical school and enrolled in a health-related field of study.

The Philip A. Maxwell Family Agriculture Scholarship is open to students graduating from a Porter County high school in 2024 and pursuing a baccalaureate degree in the field of agriculture.

The Nursing, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant Scholarships are open to students pursuing a nursing, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant degree.

The Porter County Medical Society Scholarships are open to Porter County students enrolled in medical school.

The Valparaiso Chain of Lakes Environmental Scholarship is open to students pursuing a baccalaureate degree in a field of study related to the environment.
The American Association of University Women, Valparaiso Affiliate will award scholarship(s) up to $4,000 for use in the school year 2024-2025.

Many local scholarships distribute applications through high school guidance offices or career centers. Check with your high school guidance counselor to see if any scholarships are available.

Fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be considered for federal and state student aid. The application becomes available January 1 and should be filled out no later than March 10 for students to be considered for state-based aid in Indiana.
