Establishing your own charitable fund with the Porter County Community Foundation is an easy, effective way to invest in your community. We make the process simple with expert guidance and steadfast support. PCCF is focused on ensuring your gift achieves your charitable goals.
STEP ONE
Schedule a Conversation
Give us a call at 219.465.0294 or email Jeri Pat Gabbert, and we will set up a meeting to learn about your philanthropic goals and help you determine what type of fund is the best fit for you.
STEP TWO
Donate
After deciding what type of fund you’d like to establish, make the initial gift or work with your professional advisor to create a planned gift.
STEP THREE
Leave the Paperwork to Us
PCCF will complete your fund agreement, and you will receive a copy along with a gift acknowledgment letter for your tax records.
STEP FOUR
Celebrate
Establishing a fund, a gift that truly lasts forever, is a momentous occasion, and it deserves celebration!
Address our community’s ever-changing community needs — including future needs that often cannot be anticipated at the time your fund is created — by allowing PCCF to determine which programs and organizations to assist. Flexible and efficient in nature, unrestricted funds empower PCCF to identify and support our community’s most pressing needs and challenges.
Support the evolving needs of a variety of nonprofits focused on a broad area of interest such as the arts, scholarships, youth, healthcare, or the environment. Once you select the field of interest, PCCF awards grants from your fund to benefit organizations and programs making a difference in your specified area of interest.
Ensure your favorite organizations receive your ongoing, reliable support every year with a designated fund. You choose one or several organizations to support and then the grants are made annually to those nonprofits. PCCF will handle administrative details and the annual distribution of funds.
Help deserving students achieve their dreams by providing a scholarship to offset the cost of education after high school with a named scholarship fund to honor family, friends, or someone special. You pick the scholarship name and eligibility criteria, and we take care of the administrative process: reviewing applications, selecting students, and processing scholarship awards, if you choose.
Take a personal approach to your giving by making grants to nonprofit organizations in Porter County and across the country when the time is right for you. You let us know which organization you want to support, for what purpose, and how much — and we take care of the rest. A donor advised fund is the perfect choice if you wish to have ongoing involvement in the use of your gift.
Together, we can create a more vibrant community for Porter County to thrive.
